Vietnam War

The American Experience / Vietnam Online - http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/vietnam/index.html Learn about the progression of the Vietnam Conflict from its beginning.
Vietnam Combat Art - http://members.aol.com/jimm844224/vietart1.html This sketch by combat artist Jim Pollock is one of many which he made while in the field in Vietnam. Later, he and the other artists on U. S. Army Combat Art Team IV (Samuel Alexander, Burdell Moody, Daniel Lopez and Ronald Wilson) spent two months in Hawaii completing their paintings of the action in Vietnam.
Vietnam Veterans Memorial - http://www.nps.gov/vive/index2.htm The Vietnam Veterans Memorial serves as a testament to the sacrifice of American military personnel during one of this nation's least popular wars. By erecting this memorial, it was hoped that the issue of the veterans and their sacrifice could be separated from the U.S. policy in the war, thereby creating a venue for reconciliation.
The Wars for Vietnam - http://vassun.vassar.edu/~vietnam/ This site, developed around the course materials for Robert Brigham's senior seminar on the Viet Nam War at Vassar College, offers students an opportunity to examine some of those sources, including numerous official documents. Brigham was the first American scholar given access to the Vietnamese archives on the war in Hanoi. Included here are his translations of some of the Hanoi documents, offered for examination and study.
